Annapurna Expedition 2010 |
Day Sixteen: Annapurna Base Camp; Wait for Helicopter Continues Today, I woke up, had breakfast, and had a shower outside as it was quite a nice day and we didn’t yet have the shower tent setup n base camp. Yet another perfect morning went by with no helicopter arriving in Base Camp, our equipment remaining in Lete. Around 1pm, Jorge and Martin arrived back in Base Camp from Camp II, where they spent last night. They showered in the mess tent, then we had lunch and sent Beni a message asking about our equipment and when we should expect the helicopter to arrive. We were assured that our equipment and the remaining members of our expeditions would arrive tomorrow. The weather changed in the afternoon and we took refuge inside the mess tent and read until dinner time.
