Dispatch Twenty-three: July 2nd, 2007

Day Twenty-Three: Climb to Camp I Once Again Postponed

Today, I woke up at 3:30am with the intent of climbing to Camp I with the Mexicans, however, having not been able to sleep all night due in part to the stressful situation with ATP the previous day, and considering the fact that it was snowing outside and had been nearly all night, I decided to stay in my sleeping bag, and wait out the bad weather. I chatted most of the day with my Liaison officer, Major Hazrajohn, and organized my tent and repacked my load for the carry. Late in the day, Felix and Carlos returned from Camp II and I had a leisurely dinner with them.
