Day Six: Skardu and News about my Bag

Today, I woke up at 8:00AM and had a long breakfast made pleasant by conversation with my Mexican friends. Afterwards, we headed over to the ATP office on College Road to go over some logistics and check whether my luggage had arrived in Islamabad on the BA flight. We came to find out that it had! I was quite relieved and quickly got on my sat phone to let my family know that the crisis had been solved. My bag would be put on a jeep that day and would arrive in Skardu in the afternoon tomorrow. Afterwards, I sorted porter loads in my room and then joined the Mexicans for a very unique lunch in a very small local “restaurant”. We then got haircuts and walked through the bazaar and used the internet. We had a relaxing evening, had dinner, and went to bed.
