Day Seventy-five: Skardu to Chilas by Road

This morning, I woke up at 6:00am, and wrapped up the packing I still had to do. Afterwards, I had breakfast with Imran, and then rushed out to get a haircut before I would either have to head to the Skardu airport or get going on the Karakorum Highway for the long 22 hour ride back to Islamabad. I was quite pessimistic, as the sky was far from clear and I knew that even with only a few wispy clouds, PIA would cancel their flight. Turns out that I was correct (unfortunately) and we had to drive. Rabani arranged the car for us, and we were on our way to Chilas, where we, upon our arrival, we showered and had a very tasty dinner. I worked for awhile, then went to bed.
