Day Thirty-eight: Lunch with Kinga Baranowska; Lock in Camp III Today, after a leisurely breakfast, we returned to our tents to kill time before our lunch with Kinga Baranowska at 1pm. I FINALLY took a shower, the first since returning from the summit, then tried to bake the blueberry muffins I had been saving. Since they are supposed to be baked in the oven, I put the pot that the batter was in into a bigger pot with boiling water. They came out relatively well considering… then when I tried to remove them, they fell apart into a very un-presentable condition. I quickly ate them so no one would see how badly they came out :) After this, we headed over to Kinga’s base camp, where we had pasta and some traditional Polish and French dishes. We chatted the better part of the afternoon, then finally, invited everyone from Lunch over to our camp for dinner in our mess tent. We enjoyed each other's company for the remainder of the evening, then went to bed.
