Day Six: Free Day in Nyalam Today, we slept in till 10am Chinese Time and headed across the street to breakfast at the Snow Land Restaurant. After this, we bought coke, sprite, and beers from the supermarket for base camp and looked around town for bamboo sticks. We purchased some PVC pipe for our solar panels, then ran out of things to do. I tried to log onto the internet at the internet café, but all the sites I wanted to check were blocked. We had coffees in the Base Camp restaurant then headed back to the hotel to read till dinner time. We definitely aren’t looking forward to yet another day with nothing to do here in Nyalam tomorrow. |
